New Furniture vs. New Playhouse...

Who is more excited? Mommy and Daddy to have new furniture or Laney & Jessi to have boxes as a new playhouse. Who knew that boxes could be so much fun? Forget Christmas and Birthday presents...boxes for these girls from now on!!!

Laney and the Easter Bunny

OK...so I had to post Laney's pic separately. I just want to emphasize that the white blur in the background is, indeed, the Easter Bunny. Yes, that is as close as Laney would get to him. He rates right up there with Santa Claus on the proximity scale.

Happy Easter...a little early!

Today we went to Christ Church with the Grandparents and had a great time! They had egg hunts, inflatables, face painting, crafts, bake sale, etc. The girls were in heaven! We even rode a little train around the parking lot. Of course, the Easter bunny was there! Laney didn't get anywhere near him (as you will see in the pictures :-)!) Jess was suspicious but, let GG get a little close to him. Jess went to her egg hunt first. She cleaned house. She was the only one who filled her basket. The perks of having an older sibling to train you well! Laney went to her egg hunt but was disappointed. She only found 2 eggs. There were not enough eggs for the number of kids. She is just too shy to chase after an egg! The egg hunt may have been a downer for her but the inflatable slide made her giggle with glee!! She kept going down the slide without fear! Her grin was from ear to ear! Jess was mesmerized with all the puppies. She needed to pet each one of them. Vetrinarian in the making? Jess tested out one of the inflatables but was not impressed. Boy, that will change. All in all, a great morning with the family!! You can't beat that!

I love my Photography Class!

Last night I went to my photography class! It was the best! There are 9 people in the class. I am the only Sony which is actually kind of nice. The teacher is very informative and extremely helpful! I am hoping that I can take a couple more classes! I am anxious to get out and use my camera in manual more!

Egg Hunt #2...

Well, Jess decided that the first hunt was just a trial run. For the second hunt, she was trying to pick up eggs before they even said go. She was set! Laney and Jess both had a great time! Thank you Cowsars for hosting such a fun event! Lisa joined in the fun as well! The girls had her running everywhere! She is always such a good sport!

Going on a photo shoot!!

I am heading to Botanical Gardens today for a photo shoot with a new family! Very exciting! I am looking forward to playing with the baby and enjoying the sunshine! I have three shoots coming up next weekend! Pray for great weather!!!

My Little Pony Parties Rock!

My 33rd birthday...Laney is quite the party planner! She decorated the table, made me wear a necklace and bracelets, and guided the festivities! However, we took too long eating dinner (according to her). She also was sure to open all the presents. She had it covered from the get go! Jess partied along! She was excited to have a Mickey balloon. Thank you all for a great birthday!! Laney and Jess are definitely my party girls!!!!

Well, it is official I am 33 today. I am trying to have a "reverse" birthday but I am not sure it will take. Laney is so excited she can't stand it. She has planned a My Little Pony party for me. She helped decorate at Dinah's house. She even informed me that she will be dressing me up in the playroom when we get to Dinah's house. Should I be scared???? I am pondering...what does one wear to a My Little Pony party? I am envisioning one of those pony costumes. Do you think I will be the head or the tail?? Never mind...don't answer that!

One Up on the Easter Bunny...

Today we went to a friend's house for an egg hunt. Great practice for the Easter Bunny! Laney finally has the hang of it. Her basket was full! Jessi managed to get four. She cared more about what was inside the egg rather than grabbing the next egg. After the hunt, Jess said "What happened?" I think she then realized that she should have kept going for more eggs. We will see what happens on the next round (Saturday). It was very muddy and started raining at the end of the party. The girls were covered from head to toe in chocolate, mud, and dirt! We headed straight for the bath when we got home!

Color Me Happy!

I am excited to say that I had my first purchase through my Color Me Happy Etsy shop on Friday! I had another inquiry today about a large painting! I am so excited! I am painting like a crazy person trying to get ready for the Mt. Laurel Spring Festival! These paintings make great gifts for birthdays, baby showers, and special occasions. I keep getting more ideas! Keith is about ready cut me off! Painting just makes me so happy! It makes me feel inspired to know that I am making someone else happy! Thomas!!!

We went to ride Thomas on Saturday morning! Laney has been wanting to do that for a year! We tried to ride last year and a tornado came through the day before. It rearranged the festivities and damaged Thomas. Laney has talked about that on and off for a year! So...we made it!!! Both girls loved riding the train! Laney wanted to know why the "Policeman" was on the train...it was the conductor. I have to admit that the hats are very similar! Both Jess and Laney got tattoos...of course Jessi had to go first. Laney decided later that she wanted one to match Jess'. They had a lot of fun stuff to see and try. I am sad to say that I took some great pictures...my memory card is damaged. I lost them all! That makes me sick! Oh well! The memories will stay with us!

Keith scanned in some old photos. I have to say that I would encourage my children to make fun of our clothes!! Ugh!!!! Ohhhh to be 18 and newly in love again!
