Just a Saturday morning...

Laney and I had a little quality time on Saturday morning. We went to the park and played. She is so fast! We went to a friend's house to play for a bit. Of course, they had to dress up like princesses. We ran around there back yard and acted completely crazy. Jessi and Daddy had their quality time too! Sometimes dividing and conquering is the way to go! It is nice to have some one-on-one time! Laney is so busy with school now that I miss her!

It helps if I tell you how to find it...it is very easy...

Capture the Moment...

Well, it is official Capture the Moment Photography has a website now! Capture the Moment has become my creative outlet...my way to share happiness with others! While I love taking pictures, I have decided that creating a website is just not for me! However, I survived building my own website (with the help of a wonderful forum of extremely helpful people). Please be sure to visit the new site! I would love to hear what you think!

Jessi is too funny...

Jessi loves to carry around babies. Today she had a doll that she was loving and carrying around. She rounded the corner with her "baby" and I asked if she had a name. Jessi replied, "Yum Yum." I began laughing and Jessi started laughing. I know she doesn't really know her baby's name; however "Yum Yum" is quite appropriate considering Jessi loves to eat!

My heart melts...

They make everything worth it!

A day at the park...

Today we went to Wald park. Laney, Jessi, and friends loved it! They had the best time together. Jessi loved the fact that she could do her own thing and be released from bondage (otherwise known as the stroller). We are looking forward to cooler weather! We were hot! Somehow it doesn't slow down those kids though!

Jessi to the rescue...

Daddy is our resident computer geek. When something goes wrong, we call in Daddy! Daddy was trying to figure out an internet connection problem. He was having some trouble. Jessi came to the rescue. She offered her services!

Isn't amazing how much things change? This was our last family picture. I was just barely pregnant with Jessica. I spend so much time getting pictures of the girls yet, I can' t seem to get my act together to do a family picture. I think it is time for a new family picture!!!

Laney's thoughts on lunch...

At dinner last night, Laney was sharing more about her first day at preschool. She said, "Well guys I went to the cow center (aka cafeteria) today to eat lunch." Keith and I couldn't help but laugh!! Well, if you think about it...you are herded in, given time to graze, and then herded out. Ahhh, life through the eyes of a three-year-old.

Friendship is a special gift...

This picture is especially precious because these are the friends that we have been hanging out with over the last year. Now the kids get to enjoy preschool together too! What a blessing!

God opens many doors...

Today Laney walked through a new door. She began her preschool class. She was shy at first; however, Play Doh really helped her get over the jitters. She gave us a big hug and she began to settle in. When I picked her up, she was so enthralled with playing that she didn't even see me enter the room. When her teacher called attention to me, Laney came running and gave Jessi and I a huge hug! Mrs. Pieroni said that she did very well! They had a lot of fun! Circle time was fantastic singing, reading, and talking. Laney told me, "Did you know that Mrs. Pieroni helps kids put puzzles together? She must be really smart." Laney was quite proud of her ability to put together several puzzles. Most importantly, she discovered a couple princess books on the bookshelf. The sand table was also a huge hit. We are off to a great start! God bless teachers everywhere!

Preschool here we come...

Laney met her teacher today. She also met new friends, saw familiar buddies, and played with all kinds of toys. Her teacher is just so sweet, loving, and fun! She made the cutest snack to welcome Laney to her new seat. Laney found her nametag on her chair as well as her hook for her backpack. The classroom theme is "A Learning Safari". Laney's tag has a gorilla on it. Of course, Laney swears it is a "Barrilla." Laney felt very shy and overwhelmed in the beginning. As time passed, she began to open up and explore the room. She played with the kitchen, blocks, trucks, and even read several books. She didn't say much to her teacher but, she talked about her a lot on the way home. Afterwards, I asked her, "What was your favorite part of your classroom?" Of course, I received the classic three-year-old response, "Nothing!" It was said with a giggle and glimmer in her eye. Looking forward to tomorrow...day one of preschool. I have to say that I am very proud of Laney! She is an amazing little girl! I am anxious to see her world open up and experience the adventures of learning!

Time to get aboard the train...

Tucker, Jessi, and Laney are getting aboard the train to school! Of course, Tucker has to drive! Jessi is calling the shots. Laney is bringing up the caboose! Technically, it should be the other way around but who lives in a perfect world?!

My baby is growing up...

Today Keith and I will be going to parent orientation for Laney's preschool. I can't believe that she is starting school. She is so ready! I am not ready! At first, I was so excited but now that the time is here I wish she could just stay home for a little longer. I know she will love it...making new friends, getting to know her teacher, and learning new things. She already knows 4 of the 10 friends in the class. We have been blessed with great playdate friends over the last year. I will post more over the next few days. Laney meets her teacher tomorrow! She is super excited. She has picked out a special dress!

When you know you need to lose weight...

The other day Laney and I were playing with the cars and trucks. I jumped up to get another fire truck from the other room. I was being silly and walking backwards into the room making truck noises. When I went to sit down, Laney started making the beeping sounds a truck makes when it is backing up. Of course, Laney was just in the moment of playing trucks and had no idea about my connection with my downward descent and her beeping noise. I found it funny yet a little insulting as well. You would think this would give me incentive to jump on the Weight Watchers bandwagon.

The better to bite you with...

Jessica is working on her sixth tooth. She is getting a new tooth on the bottom! I would share a picture but she really does like to bite! I prefer to stay away from those chompers! Even our kisses get a little adventurous!

There is no doubt that these two are sisters. Jessi and Laney look so much alike! These are both pictures of the girls at one! It is crazy how much they favor!

The Itty Bitty Magic City at McWane...

We went to the McWane center. The girls just love everything about McWane! Right now the Itty Bitty City is the favorite! Jessi loves to be able to patrol all over the city. She even steals other children's shopping carts. Laney jumps from one project to another. There is much fun to be had!

Just an added note...

Our Grandparents have both been on vacation. Mommy missed them as much as the girls did! God bless those Grandmas for giving Mommy a chance for adult conversation! It has been a long break while they have been gone! Mommy is singing ABCs and if you are happy and you know it, playing princesses, and watching Robin Hood even when the girls are asleep...that is not a good sign! So glad to have the Grandparents back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We love our Grandparents...

We just wanted to say how much we love our Grandparents! They mean the world to us! Thank you for showing us what love really means!
