Our little cupcake...

Jessica, our little cupcake, celebrated her first birthday party! On Saturday, we had family and friends over to enjoy a cookout. Jessi loved playing with everyone. She really enjoyed her first cupcake. She was very dainty in the beginning but finished it with a messy bang. She looked around for more! She has her Mommy's sweet tooth! Happy Birthday, Jessica Cailin! We will be celebrating more on the 3rd! Such a party girl!

Sisters...

I hope my girls are always close and love each other tremendously. I know that squabbling and jealousy are a part of being a sibling but, I pray that they realize what a blessing they are to each other. Sisters definitely have a special connection!

Can you believe that Jessica is almost one????

Baby Jessica (as she is called by her big sister) is turning one on July 3rd. It is so hard to believe. This year has gone too fast. We brought her home from the hospital yesterday! Now Jessi is crawling, attempting to walk with help, and loves to get into everything including the toilet! Yuck! She loves to play with her big sister! She says Ma Ma, Bye Bye, Da Da, thank you, Dinah (couple of times), love you, and even Laney (aney). Our baby is growing up!

Moments that take your breath away...

Laney loves dressing up in "princess clothes". Her absolute favorite is a wedding dress that her "Ba Ba" gave her. As I took this picture, tears came to my eyes. It won't be long and we will be giving her away to the man of her dreams...

A picking we will go...

We went blueberry picking with some friends last Friday. We drove to Harpersville, Alabama to the Morgan Creek Vineyard. Dinah went with us. Laney and Jessi spent the morning filling up a bucket with scrumptious blueberries. It was a lot of fun! After our adventure, we went to Jacob's house to make blueberry muffins! Delicious!

A trip to Rosemary Beach...

At the end of May, our family went to Rosemary Beach for a week of fun in the sun. We stayed at a carriage house near two pools. The girls loved every part of Rosemary Beach! We took long walks in the double stroller to explore. We found ice cream, Starbucks, 4 pools, water fountains, beautiful courtyards, a toy store, and best of all the beach! In the mornings, we spent our time on the beach building sandcastles and dodging the waves. After nap, we went to the pool and splashed until we could not do anymore. Laney loved building sandcastles for her princesses and taking a bath in an inflatable tub that we brought with us. Who knew that an inflatable tub would be a highlight! Jessi loved swimming in the pool. She tried to dive out of her float into the water. She loved kicking and splashing the water with her hands! Laney decided to swim in her floaties without Mommy holding on to her! What a big step!
