A Day of Beauty...

Lisa and I went to Laney's Hair Salon. She did a smashing job, I must say. Jessi's piggy just couldn't stay in. Laney's calendar is filling up quickly. Call today to book your appointment!

In Memory of My Friend...

I know that God has a plan for the things that happen. I have faith in him; however, my human nature struggles with the sorrow of losing someone you love. A friend passed away yesterday. It is still hard to accept. She is a beautiful person inside and out. She has the most amazing smile accentuated with the most fabulous dimples. She is so kind and loving to others...someone to aspire to be. I had the pleasure of working with her over the last 8 years. One year I was lucky enough to spend everyday with her in my classroom. I learned a lot from her. In spite of this time, I still feel sadness to know that she will not be with us. I guess I am selfish in the respect of letting go. Heaven is truly lucky to have her. My heart goes out to her husband and children. I cannot even begin to understand how they must feel. Please pray for this family as they need to feel the love and grace of God. The question of "Why?" will linger in my mind. Life is short...make the most of it. Linda, I love you!

Girls Gone Wild...

We went to the Birmingham Zoo. The girls had the best time. We met some friends there for the "Critter Club". They learned about kangaroos. They also got to touch a chicken and a snake. Mommy even touched the snake. UHHH! The things you do for your children! Jessi and Dinah were running around the petting zoo. Jessi wanted to pet everything. No fear! She loved the goats! We went to see the baby giraffe, Willow. Laney loved the sleeping tigers and lions. Jessi was enthralled with the sea lions. They both love water! Jessi went on her first carousel ride! Laney rode an ostrich. Jessi and Dinah rode on a sleigh. We also rode the train! The girls loved that! Daddy surprised us with a visit. He was standing by the tracks towards the end of our train ride. The girls were squealing!

Road Trip...

Our family went to Athens, Alabama to Erin's graduation. YEAH Erin! The girls got to ride in the new motorhome. They also spent the night in it too! What a nice ride! It is really tough to camp in that thing...ha ha ha! We had a great time. Laney rode her tricycle all over the campground. They also had a fun playground right next to the water. The girls enjoyed visiting Una and Leo on North Alabama's campus...two big lions! They are just amazing to see so close up. They had very little interest in us. I wish we could have stayed longer. We love getting to see Erin and Adam!
